"Are Yall sisters?"

There are ANIMALS every where in Oklahoma! And some things are just too funny not to take a picture of! haha

The Addingtons took us out to dinner and we saw this on the napkin holder! Oklahoma is the best!
Sister Caudill and I with the Nicholas family yesterday at church! They are moving this week! We will miss them! Oh and some of the Roper children too that snuck in haha

This past week was crazy! Our ward had an activity on Friday, "May Mormon Movie Month." The Elders thought of it haha we watched 'Meet the Mormons' and did a church tour! The Elders did such a great job on it! However with it being the last day of school not a lot of people showed up but we did have a sister in the ward that Sister Caudill and I have been working with that came! She hasn't been in the church building for years! And she came! And had a good time. She loved the movie! For that it was a success :)

This past week we also saw Darrell! We haven't seen him in weeks! Our schedule has just been super busy on Tuesdays lately and that's the only day he can do, since we meet him at McDonalds before he works! Well we saw him with Sister Roper and this is what she said at the end of the lesson, "I can't believe you aren't baptized yet!" That's exactly how I feel! He pretty much knows it all! He is so prepared! We decided to read Moroni 10 with him and we got to the gifts of the spirit part and he says, "I know I can't have the gifts of the spirit without the Holy Ghost, and I can't have the Holy Ghost without being baptized by the proper authority." The Holy Ghost always teaches and testifies SO much to him! The spirit is really working on him! Someday he will be baptized!

Hope yall have a blessed week! Thanks for all the love, support and prayers!

All my love,
Sister Jackson

EVERYONE has asked Sister Caudill and I if we are blood sisters! haha! I can't even tell you how many times it happened! I guess its because we look alike or something haha

"Go About Doing Good" President W.

This past week was SO busy! So much happened, I don't even know where to begin! Here is a picture from a couple p-days ago when we combined with another zone to play sports!

Last Monday Sister Caudill and I drove up to Stillwater for a missionary meeting and while all the missionaries were spiritually preparing someone says, "Thats the Tornado siren!" Some of the missionaries run outside and over the speaker someone says that we need to take cover! So everyone kind of starts freaking out! We all go outside and its sunny with some rain but nothing to crazy! So we all get in our cars to figure out where to go and after about 10 minutes we just decide to stay at the church! So we all stay outside and end up seeing some tornadoes off in the distance! So we just had to take a picture! From all the other people at the church you can tell we weren't in any danger! It was CRAZY! It was cool to see one at a safe distance away!
President Walkenhorst has about a month and a half left before he heads back to California! We are all going to miss him SO much! On wednesday I had my last interview with him before he leaves and President Mansell comes. I LOVE President Walkenhorst! I have learned so much from him! I asked him what he hopes we all remember about him when he is gone and he says, "That I cared." I know that President cares about ALL of the missionaries! You can just feel it! He also talked to me about "doing good."
Acts10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
He talked about how we are the happiest when we are doing good. It doesn't matter where we are serving, just that we are doing good! I love that! Go about doing good.

On Thursday the Village Ward volunteered at the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma! Its in the South part of the City! It was SO fun! If anyone has a food bank close by them, go volunteer!!! They divided up all the people there into 2 big groups! We were in the group that sorted the food and boxed them into 5 different categories! Our group provided over 6,700 meals! That is enough meals for one person for 4 years!! It was SO fun! A great service activity!

Saturday we had a pass off lesson with the University Ward Sisters! A couple weeks ago they met Keith and Jack but they are too old to be going to the University Ward so they passed them off to us! All four of us taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it went so well! They ended up asking how they could be baptized and they set a date to be baptized next month!

Hope yall are doing good! Thanks for all the love, support, and prayers! Its appreciated :) Have a blessed week! Love all yall!

All my love,
Sister Jackson
We found a sign with the name of our area on it! The Village North, English speaking :)

Hey Yall!

I know I say this every week but this past week was FULL of so many MIRACLES! I wish I could share them all, but here is a couple to hopefully brighten up your day!

1. Remember Pennellen?! She just keeps doing better and BETTER! We started meeting with her more frequently and she is reading the Book of Mormon now! She even has been sharing it with her husband Darrell! He even agreed to come join one of our lessons sometime. She even set her own baptism date this past week! We were talking about it and then she just says well why don't we set a date now, and pulls out her phone and counts some sundays and then says "June 5th!"  It is such a blessing to be part of this journey with her!

2. Connie is sharing the gospel like crazy!! She has seen so many miracles from opening her mouth and talking with others. She came with us to see Pennellen and after she left she was flagged down by one of Pennellen's neighbors. She was prompted to roll down her window and so she did! She met Terri who just happened to move it and she thought Connie was her son (she was driving a truck that looked similar). So the two of them get talking and Terri asks Connie what she is doing in the neighborhood. Connie tells her that she was teaching one of her neighbors about our beliefs with the missionaries. She then continues talking with Terri about the gospel and leaves her with pamphlets and asks if we could stop by sometime! When she called and told us about this we were SO excited for her! This is just one of many experiences she is having!

3. The district I am in set a goal to have 10 contacts a day per companionship! So Sister Caudill and I have been trying to talk with EVERYONE! And we have seen so many miracles from it! I was on exchanges with one of the Sisters serving at UCO and we were on campus and there were just SO many people! We were able to have so many conversations and find a cute young couple that was interested!

4. We had a training this past week on bearing our testimony frequently. One of the Elders talked about how sharing your testimony often is one of the most powerful ways of inviting the spirit and helping others feel the spirit. Why is that? Why is the testimony of someone so powerful? A testimony is a spiritual witness and assurance given by the Holy Ghost. To bear testimony is to give a simple, direct declaration of belief- a feeling, an assurance, a conviction of gospel truth. It can be something as simple as "Jesus Christ is the Son of God," and yet there is so much power in it. I think there is so much power because we are sharing something that we KNOW. It is dear to our heart and we have had that spiritual witness and assurance from the Holy Ghost. One of the Elders ended with a video that I wanted to share with yall! Its a General Conference Montage of the Prophets and Apostles testimonies. When you have a second, watch it! You will see just how powerful someone's testimony really is!

Lastly, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I got to talk to my beautiful mom and family yesterday! What a blessing they are to me! Sure do LOVE them! In Relief Society yesterday we got a visit from the Mother's Day Elves! Just had to share a picture!

Hope yall have a blessed week!! Thanks for all the love and prayers! Keep the faith!

All my love,
Sister Jackson

"Basically Following God's Footsteps"

Hey yall! Its been another WONDERFUL week! and this past week was very eventful!

Tuesday= STORMS and MIRACLES!
Sister Caudill and I were on exchanges and it just so happened to be on the day that there were suppose to be a lot of storms! They say with May just to expect storms all the time! Well it was both Sister Smiths and I first time with all the tornado weather! But despite the bad weather we saw so many miracles!! Almost all our plans fell through or canceled but so many good things DID happen! Normally the best miracles happen when things fall through. We were waiting at McDonalds for one of our investigators to show up. While we were waiting, a couple walks up to us and starts talking to us. They saw the Book of Mormon on the table and knew we were missionaries! They were a couple visiting from Texas and they actually are taking the lessons and preparing to be baptized sometime this month! The night before they had met some people who didn't really agree with our church and told them all these negative things. They had been praying to know if they should still get baptized. Then they stopped to go to the bathroom at the McDonalds before they headed back to Texas and we were there! She said we were an answer to their prayers!

We spent the last couple hours of the evening with the Nicholas family! We were able to watch some of the storm before the rain/hail came! The lightning was quite the show! The storms here are amazing! Such a cute fun family! We even had some smores while we were waiting the storm out :)
Wednesday= MISSION POSSIBLE
A ward out in Guthrie invited us out to a Young Womens activity. It was a question and answer with us! And the activity turned out SO good! They had some great questions! and it was so nice to be around all these wonderful sisters who are preparing to serve missions someday! What a wonderful experience!

Remember Pennellen?! Well she has been having a hard time and so we haven't seen her in a couple weeks but this past week we got a call from the family history center saying that Pennellen was trying to get a hold of us! She had gotten a new phone and lost our number so she looked up the church in the phone book and called them in hopes to get in contact with us! She is SO great!

A member took us out to eat at the Garage!
On Sunday we had another lesson with the Sargent family and we taught them the Plan of Salvation! Towards the end we were talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ and Jonathan says, "basically following God's footsteps." They are such great boys and it has been such a joy teaching them! Keep them in your prayers! They are preparing to be baptized in a couple weeks.

Hope yall have a blessed week! Thanks for all the love and support! :)

All my love,
Sister Jackson

We like to find Okie things and then put our nametags next to them
