Well another week has come and gone! I have been out for just about 3 months now! It is so crazy! I absolutely LOVE being a missionary! We had another blessed week! So many great things are happening in Lawton! This past week Sister Jensen got a trainers call! She is going to Norman! I am so excited for her! She will do awesome but also sad to see her go. I have learned so much from her! She is such a wonderful missionary.
Well we have been focusing more on less actives recently and we have been so blessed from it! Sister Smith is making so much progress! Along with Sister Miller! She came to church again! We had a lesson with her this past week and brought another member, Sister Watts and it was such a spiritual time. Sister Watts and Sister Miller were being the missionaries that night! They were bearing their testimony and sharing experiences and pretty much uplifting Sister Jensen and I. Sister Watts ended with the most beautiful, sincere, heart felt prayer. It was so wonderful. Also this week we went with the Relief Society President to visit Sister McDaniel, a sister that none of us had met before, and had a wonderful experience! She is such an amazing women! She is Native American and was telling us story after story about her and her ancestors! I could listen to her all day. She hasn't been to church in years but she still believes! She shared her testimony at the end of Heavenly Father and how much He loves her and the spirit just flooded in! I know Heavenly Fathers loves her so very much!
Speaking of ancestors! We are working with two individuals, Karen and Heather who aren't investigating the church but are super interested in family history! The spirit of Elijah is working on them! Karen is an older lady who we meet with pretty regularly and work on family history! Heather is someone we just recently met who is in her 20s. We asked her why she was into family history and she said she interested to know where she came from! It is so wonderful! We have a family history day this saturday that hopefully both will come to! "We discover something about ourselves when we learn about our ancestors." -President Monson
Nephi, Liam, and Olivia are doing so well! We had another lesson with them this past week and it was just so great! I love this family so very much! Liam at the beginning said, "I want the Holy Ghost in me again!" and Nephi talked about last time they had to be really quiet so they could feel the Holy Ghost. He said they felt so happy! The little girl Olivia is so happy and has the cutest smile! Nephi during the lesson said, "I want to get baptized right now!" They can feel it is true and are so excited! We taught the Plan of Salvation and Nephi said he is excited to meet Nephi someday! At the end they all wanted to say the closing prayer, it was so cute! Liam started and then Nephi helped him but they both said they forgot and cute little Olivia just starts talking and finishes the prayer! :)
Allen is getting baptized!! In 3 weeks! We had a lesson with his mom and the Goodwins and he is just so excited! So is his mom. She really wants this for Allen! He still struggles with praying out loud but he tells us he prayers every night! Which is awesome! He comes to church just about every week too! Church is so important! I love that there has been a push on the Sabbath Day recently. It is so important and brings so many blessings! I hope your Sabbath has been a delight!
I love you all! Remember to read and pray! By small and simple things are great things brought to pass! Thanks for all the prayers and support! Have a blessed week!
All my love,
Sister Jackson
