Another Blessed week here in Lawton! Sunshine and smiles! Aren't these kids just the cutest?!
This picture was taken after church yesterday! It was the primary program and all the kids got cookies in primary. It was such a great day! A part member family (Nephi's family) we have been working with came to church and the kids (first time at church) participated in the primary program! There mom asked if they wanted to go up and 2 of the kids did! Olivia, the little girl with the white flower even said a part in the microphone! She is the cutest girl ever! It was a spiritual experience for their mom! She was crying at church. Nehpi and Liam are getting baptized next month!! We had a lesson with them this past week teaching them the Doctrine of Christ. The kids are just so excited about it all! We taught them CPR (church, pray, read) and they loved it! Liam said he wanted to tell Levi (Sister Malcom's son) about CPR! They also went to the primary activity this past week too!
Wednesday we watched Meet the Mormons with Nicole! Last week we ended up having to reschedule but this week it happened! And she thought it was wonderful! She said she is going to have her son watch it! She said it answered a lot of questions she had and that she had no idea we were so normal haha. All she knew is that she liked when we would stop by and visit with her but she didn't know why. Now she does and she said we could back again next week! Miracle!!
We had another great lesson with Rhiannon! We taught her the 10 commandments. She reset her baptismal date for General Conference Weekend! She is progressing so fast! I can see her faith increasing every time we meet with her!
Linsey from the ward went on a mini mission with us for the weekend! She is 19 and thinking about serving a mission so she came out with us! It was so much fun having her with us! Sunday night we went to the Malcom's house so Sister Jensen could tell them goodbye and the Beckettes (Nephi's family) were there! Sister Malcom had invited them over for dinner and they were still there playing. When we got there Sister Malcom said they were waiting to have a snowball fight with us so we went and attacked them upstairs! It was such a fun evening! Between the Malcom and Beckette kids it was crazy! So many laughs and smiles going on! All the kids get along so well! Brother Malcom also made everyone milkshakes. I got a strawberry milkshake, it was so good! One thing with Sister Jensen leaving is everyone wants to feed us! I have ate so much food this past week. I don't want to eat any more sweets haha
Well last night I found out who my new companion is going to be! Sister Wedemeyer is coming to Lawton! The name should sound familiar because she was my MTC companion!! It will be so great!! Great things are happening here!
Lastly, at district meeting we were invited to ask our family and friends how they have been blessed from obeying a specific commandment. So this is where I need your help! What blessings have you received from going to church and partaking of the Sacrament? You can email or send a letter! I look forward to hearing your responses! I hope all yall are doing well! Have a blessed week!
All my love,
Sister Jackson
Sister Jensen and Linsey! She went on a mini mission with us for the weekend. She spent Friday evening to sunday evening with us! It was so fun having her with us :)
Sister Jensen gave me a pillowcase and put Oklahoma, with a heart where Lawton is, and Jensen #1 since I am her first baby.
The dinner pictures are from when we ate at the Goodwins! They made us some Japanese Food: hot pot (I think it is called that!) You put all the meat and veggies in the pot and wait for them to cook and then put them in your bowl with rice and eat it! It was really good! We did the whole thing with chop sticks too :)
This Karen and Woody! The sweetest people ever! and her dog coco
